Examples of Well Designed CD Packaging

A design for a sustainable CD Case to replace the traditional case. It is designed as a detachable continuous strip adaptable to the number of CDs needed. It is made of recyclable and recycled cardboard and has no adhesive.

An album design for 'Necessarily Two', a piano and oboe duet from Germany.  I like how the interactivity of the disc and the cut out on the front cover reflects themes from the music, which is said to be an emotional voyage of joy and broken hearts.

The design for the detailed cover was inspired by etchings, however it was produced using screen-printing rather  than etching as more than one was to be made by hand.

The album starts as a pack with a perforated edge , containing a jewel case with the disc in. The outer packaging then folds out to transform into a poster :)

Marrow - Sunshine Enema. The music is on the USB pill which comes in a bottle and with 'instructions.'

Scratch off ink! :D
